Reed
—tries to take Tanwen and Eiri back to her apartment for the night
—Eiri gets on her nerves already, and Tanwen is panicking and having a crisis of faith. What does she do? There’s nothing left to do.
—Eiri is a grumpy atheist at Tanwen, which Reed cuts off swiftly.
—The jungle is encroaching on her apartment building, but they go in while it’s still there. Too much debris to just drive.
—Last shot is Reed looking out and realizing that they are surrounded by more trees than when they went inside, and the rest of the Bronx is gone.
Tsuya
—Khatma wants them to get out of the city and find somewhere more rural. He has no desire to leave now that he has people.
—Viola wants to see what’s up and head towards the source of the destruction.
—Tsuya just wants to be left alone. He goes out to climb over the wall when Viola and Khatma start to debate, and instead of the factories, a sprawling savanna lies before him. He is terrified and attracts the attention of griffins.
—One defends him and tells him he’ll keep Tsuya safe.
Tanwen
—sees the jungle of Partim’s world and freaks out
—Reed makes them pack and prepare to leave the building, and Tanwen tries to be cool like her.
—Eiri is hiding her emotions and being useless
