In honor of Indigenous peoples day, Here are the 4 paintings from my “Cultural Resilience: We still Exist” series. Our people and our culture is not extinct. We still survive and thrive. The paintings are about exploring our roots and the way we look at ourselves. The ways in which our indigenous culture has survived. It is in our cooking, it is in our mannerisms, our language, our beliefs, in the ways we embrace our elders and children. We never left, we are not an extinct people.
